Frequently asked questions
Is Vigilant CQ Security registered with PSIRA?
Yes. Vigilant CQ Security is registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority. Every officer we deploy must be PSIRA-registered, and you are welcome to ask for the registration details of officers placed on your site. Which areas do you cover?
We work from our Randburg office and serve clients across Johannesburg and Gauteng, including Sandton, Midrand, Roodepoort, Pretoria and the East Rand. Coverage for armed response and patrols is confirmed per address after a site assessment, so ask us about your specific location.
Do you provide both armed and unarmed guards?
Yes. Many sites need unarmed officers for access control and visitor management, while higher-risk posts such as cash handling areas or isolated yards may call for armed officers. We recommend the right option after assessing the site, and both are covered in your written proposal.
Can you combine guards with alarms and CCTV?
That is how we prefer to work. Officers are far more effective when cameras, alarms, electric fencing and panic buttons support them. We can design a combined solution or work alongside the systems you already have, after checking their condition during the assessment.
How quickly can you start?
Start dates depend on the size of the deployment, the number of posts and any equipment to be installed. Smaller guarding requirements can often be arranged quickly once the proposal is signed. We confirm a realistic start date in writing before you commit.
