Hospitality & Venue Security
In hospitality, security is part of the guest experience. Guests should notice a friendly, professional presence, not a show of force, while staff know someone has their back when a situation turns. We assess hotels, lodges, restaurants, clubs and venues and quote on officers and systems that protect guests without spoiling the atmosphere.
- Discreet, well-presented officers
- Door and entrance control
- Guest parking patrols
- Night-time and late trading cover

Different venues, different priorities
Hotels, guesthouses and lodges
Controlling access to guest floors and rooms, monitoring parking for guests' vehicles, and responding calmly to incidents involving guests at any hour.
Restaurants and bars
Protecting staff during closing and cash-up, managing disputes before they escalate and keeping an eye on vehicles outside.
Clubs and late-night venues
Entrance control, managing capacity, handling intoxicated patrons respectfully and keeping the area outside the door safe at closing time.
Conference and function venues
Access control for delegates, protecting equipment and coordinating with organisers on event security for large functions.
Officers who suit a hospitality setting
We would brief officers specifically for hospitality work: well presented, courteous and able to de-escalate. They would know your house rules, your management chain and when to involve a duty manager before acting.
Officers are PSIRA-registered and screened. Where your brand calls for it, dress can be agreed, from standard uniform to a more discreet look for front-of-house roles similar to our reception security service.
Behind the scenes: deliveries, stock and cash
Hospitality businesses lose more to back-of-house theft than many owners realise: liquor, food stock, linen and equipment walking out through service entrances. Controlling staff and delivery entrances, checking deliveries and supervising refuse removal can make a noticeable difference, and our loss control approach applies here too.
Electronic layers such as CCTV over tills, storerooms and entrances, and panic buttons at reception and bars, would be quoted where the assessment shows a need.
Assessment and contract options
We would start with a visit during trading hours, ideally at a busy time, to see how guests arrive, how staff move and where problems tend to occur. A second look after closing helps us understand after-hours exposure.
The proposal would cover officer posts, shifts aligned to trading hours and any equipment recommendations. Contracts might be ongoing, seasonal for busy periods or for specific functions. Everything is confirmed on assessment and in writing.

Frequently asked questions
Can officers wear something other than a standard uniform?
Where it suits your venue, dress can be agreed during the proposal stage, while officers remain clearly identifiable as security when they need to be.
How do your officers deal with intoxicated or aggressive guests?
They are briefed to de-escalate first, involve the duty manager, and only use the minimum lawful force needed to protect people. Serious incidents are reported to SAPS and recorded.
Can you cover just our weekend or late-night trading?
Yes. Shifts can be aligned to your busiest or highest-risk trading periods rather than full-time cover, subject to the assessment.
Do you help protect staff when closing up?
Yes. Closing and cash-up are vulnerable moments. Officers can remain until staff have locked up and left, and we can advise on procedures for this period.
