Commercial & Office Security
An office has two very different security lives: busy working hours full of staff, visitors and couriers, and quiet nights and weekends when the building is most exposed. We plan commercial security for both, combining front-of-house officers, access control, patrols and electronic security to protect your people, equipment and information.
- Business-hours and after-hours cover
- Professional front-of-house officers
- Access and visitor control
- Alarms, CCTV and response

Business hours versus after hours
| Period | Main risks | Typical measures |
|---|---|---|
| Business hours | Unauthorised visitors, tailgating, theft of laptops and personal items, disputes at reception | Reception or lobby officers, visitor registration, controlled access points |
| After hours and weekends | Break-ins, theft of equipment and cable, vandalism, unauthorised entry by staff or cleaners | Static night guards, patrols, monitored alarms, CCTV, armed response |
Most businesses need a mix. A small office park might rely on electronic security and armed response at night, while a busy head office may need officers on every shift.
Professional front-of-house security
Your reception is the first impression visitors have of your business. Our lobby and reception officers are briefed to be courteous and well presented while still controlling who gets past the front desk.
- Greeting and registering visitors, and confirming appointments with the host.
- Issuing and recovering visitor cards or tags.
- Managing couriers and deliveries so they do not wander the building.
- Calmly handling difficult visitors and escalating to management when needed.
- Supporting evacuation drills and emergency procedures.
Electronic security for commercial premises
People work best alongside good systems. During the assessment we review existing alarms, cameras and access control and recommend upgrades where they add value: intruder alarm systems zoned by floor or department, CCTV at entrances, parking and server rooms, and panic buttons at reception and cash points.
Systems can be connected for monitoring and dispatch, so an after-hours alarm results in a response rather than a voicemail.
Setting up and managing your contract
We begin with a walk-through of the building with your facilities or office manager, looking at entrances, parking, deliveries, shared areas with other tenants and after-hours access by cleaners or IT staff. You then receive a written proposal with shift options and equipment recommendations.
Officers are PSIRA-registered, screened and supervised by our management, who keep in contact with your nominated person. Site instructions are documented so standards hold when officers change shifts. Contracts are typically ongoing and reviewed as your occupancy or risks change; details are confirmed after assessment.

Frequently asked questions
We share our building with other tenants. Can you still help?
Yes. We can secure your own floor or premises and work alongside building management's security. During the assessment we clarify where your responsibility ends so there are no gaps or overlaps.
Do we need a guard at night or is an alarm enough?
It depends on what is inside and how exposed the building is. Many offices do well with monitored alarms, CCTV and armed response; sites with high-value equipment or stock often add a night guard.
Can your officers handle visitor registration digitally?
Officers can use your existing visitor system or a register. If you are considering a new system, we can advise during the assessment, keeping POPIA requirements in mind for visitor data.
How do you keep standards consistent across shifts?
Each site has written instructions, officers record activity in an occurrence book, and supervisors visit to check compliance and speak with your contact.
