Home security
Residential Security
A secure home is built in layers: a perimeter that slows intruders down, detection that raises the alarm early, and people who respond. We look at your property the way a criminal would, then combine guarding, armed response and electronic security into a plan that fits your home and how your family lives.
- Free-standing homes and clusters
- Layered perimeter to response
- PSIRA-registered officers
- One provider, one plan

Security in layers, not single products
Many homeowners buy one product at a time: an alarm after a neighbour's break-in, cameras after a parcel goes missing. The result is often gaps between systems. We plan residential security as layers that work together:
- Perimeter: walls, gates and electric fencing that delay and deter.
- Detection: outdoor beams and indoor alarm systems that warn you before someone reaches the house.
- Verification: CCTV that lets you see what triggered an alarm.
- Response: armed response and panic buttons so help is dispatched when it matters.
Residential guards for higher-risk homes
Some households need a person on site rather than relying on technology alone. This is common for larger properties, homes with frequent staff and deliveries, families who travel often, or households facing a specific threat.
A residential guard can control the gate, log visitors and contractors, patrol the grounds at night and act as the first point of contact with the armed response team. Guards can be arranged for night shifts only, while the family is away, or around the clock, depending on the assessment.
For families with a higher public profile, our VIP protection service extends security beyond the property.
What a home security assessment looks at
We start with a visit to the property, ideally at a time when the people who live there can walk us through their routine. We look at:
- the perimeter, adjoining properties, open land or servitudes behind the house;
- gates, garage doors and how the family arrives and leaves;
- existing alarms, beams, cameras and fencing, and whether they are working;
- domestic staff, gardeners and regular contractors who need access;
- safe rooms or bedroom areas that should be protected at night.
You receive a written proposal that explains what we recommend and why, with options so you can prioritise. Existing equipment is reused where it is sound.
Security your household will actually use
The best system fails if nobody arms it. We set up alarm zones so you can arm the perimeter while still moving around inside, show every household member how to use panic buttons, and agree a clear procedure for when the alarm goes off.
Residential clients can contact our team about faults, changes to keyholders or added services. Monitoring and dispatch details are confirmed in your contract. Services are usually on a monthly agreement, with installations quoted separately.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a guard if I already have armed response?
Not always. Armed response is dispatched when an alarm or panic signal is received, while a guard is on site continuously. Larger or higher-risk properties often benefit from both; the assessment will show which suits your home.
Can you take over my existing alarm system?
In many cases, yes. We check the panel, sensors and communicator during the assessment. Where equipment is compatible and in good order, we connect it to our monitoring rather than replacing it.
Do you secure townhouses and cluster homes?
Yes, for individual units. For security covering the whole complex, such as gate guards and perimeter patrols, see our estate and complex security page.
What happens when the alarm goes off?
The signal is received for monitoring, the household is contacted where the procedure requires it, and response is dispatched as set out in your contract. We agree the exact procedure, including keyholders, during set-up.
