Terms & Conditions

About these terms

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This website is operated by Vigilant CQ Security and Protection ("Vigilant CQ Security", "we", "us"), a privately owned South African security company with its office at 116 NRDI Building, 11 Mackay Street, Blairgowrie, Randburg, Johannesburg. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information on this website

The content on this website is general information about our services. It is not a quote, a binding offer or professional advice for your specific situation. Services, options and availability depend on the site, its location and its risks, and are only confirmed after an assessment and in a written proposal or service agreement. We try to keep the information accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that it is complete or free of errors, and we may change it at any time.

Quotes and proposals

  • A quote or proposal is based on the information you give us and on what we observe during a site assessment.
  • Each quote or proposal states how long it remains valid. If no period is stated, please confirm with us that it is still current before accepting it.
  • We may revise a quote if the scope, site conditions, hours or risks turn out to be different from what was described.
  • A quote or proposal does not oblige either party to proceed until a service agreement is signed or accepted in writing.

Service agreements

Every security service we provide is governed by a written service agreement setting out the scope of services, site instructions, duration, fees, payment terms, notice periods and the responsibilities of each party. If anything in these website terms conflicts with your service agreement, the service agreement applies.

Client responsibilities

For us to deliver services properly, clients are responsible for:

  • Giving our officers and technicians safe and timely access to the site as agreed
  • Providing accurate, complete information about the site, its risks, existing security systems and any known incidents
  • Telling us promptly about changes to the site, operating hours, key holders or contact details
  • Maintaining client-owned equipment and systems unless our agreement says otherwise

Limitation of liability

Security services reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Our liability for loss or damage connected with our services is limited as set out in the relevant service agreement. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of this website or reliance on its general content.

Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other South African consumer law, where those laws apply to you.

Using this website

You may not use this website for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or submit false, misleading or harmful information through its forms, chat or file uploads. The text, logos and design on this website belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without our written permission.

Governing law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update them from time to time, and the date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@vigilantcq.co.za.
